Chemistry Lot Maintenance - June 30 to July 7
Work is scheduled to begin on a portion of the Chemistry lot on Wednesday, June 30, and should be completed by Wednesday, July 7, barring any delays due to inclement weather.
The lot is expected to remain open - at reduced capacity - for the duration of the project. We ask parkers to be mindful of the construction vehicles and personnel in the area.
Alternative parking lots nearby include: Westminster (lot B), Middlesex (lot G), and Visual Arts (lot Y). See the PARKING MAP for lot locations.
Thank you for your cooperation!

COVID Update [April 8, 2021]
In light of the province’s current directive, as of April 2, Western Parking & Visitor Services is moving to a reduced service model.
What this means for parking customers:
Most lots campus-wide will have gates raised and parking will be complimentary. Exceptions are the Medical Science and Kent Patient Lots where gates will be down (these lots are reserved for clinic patients only). Enjoy free parking at this time but please park only in regular unmarked parking spaces; do not park in reserved spaces, service vehicle spaces, fire lanes or hash lined areas.
The office will be open for in-person service 9 am to 12 pm Monday through Friday.
Faculty/Staff will not be charged for parking for the months of April through August, 2021.
- Customers using payroll deduction will not have parking fees deducted these months. Permits will remain intact and no action is required.
- Customers who have prepaid by cash, credit or debit for these months can have fees transferred for future months. Refunds/credits will be assessed and issued once the full extent of the closure is better understood.
Students who had purchased Term Two permits have already been refunded.
Students who had purchased annual permits have already been refunded by credit card online or by cheque if the purchase was made in person at the Parking office. The annual permit refund has been calculated based on usage of one term (September through December). The summer term is always included with the annual permit at no charge and does not factor into the refund amount; therefore, the refund amount is equivalent to approximately half the cost of the annual permit.
Other monthly permits
Refunds and/or credits will be issued for the month on a case-by-case basis once the extent of the shutdown has been determined.
When will you see your parking refund/credit?
Faculty/Staff on payroll deduction: parking fees will not be deducted for the months of April through August.
Student annual permits: refunds have been completed. Please contact the Parking office if you don't see the refund back to your credit card or you have not received a cheque through Canada Post by June 1st.
All other parking permit holders: we will be assessing refunds/credits in the months ahead once a clearer picture of what is owed back to each of our customers is determined. Everyone will receive appropriate reimbursement for the period of the shutdown.
We thank you for your patience as we continue to work to provide our customers great service despite these challenges
Information herein is subject to change and we will continue to assess in alignment with the broader campus and provincial guidelines. Further updates will be provided as information becomes available.
